Job description

As a Full Stack PHP Web Developer at Skydreams, you develop the platforms on which millions of transactions take place every year in 17 countries across the globe. The platform products we develop help businesses and consumers connect and agree deals online in the areas of home improvement and moving house.

On a daily basis, you will be developing new products and optimising legacy code. You are working on new features for business clients, consumers and Skydreams business development.

With your excellent programming skills and customer oriented approach, you’ll set up acceptance tests for product releases, fix bugs in the system and collaborate with product owners to deliver the best user experience.

As a result, you’ll deliver successful products such as Homedeal and Moving24 and make continuous improvements to our in-house CRM system named ‘The Manager’.

Working in a team of 9 passionate IT professionals on both the front-end and back-end of our applications, you’ll get the valuable opportunity and independence to build and expand our systems with new features and smart technical solutions.

Our core goal is to improve our platform’s ability to identify matches. Therefore, we develop products and algorithms to connect supply and demand in the best way possible. We like to adhere to new standards once we are convinced about their value.

Ask you to

Collaborate in a product team with a product owner, UX designer and developers to to deliver the best user experience

Develop and implement new features which benefit our online marketplaces

Continuously setup experiments, validate them and scale them when they prove to add value to our users

Work together on user stories following our Kanban process

Make sure the front-end and back-end of web applications are developed accurately

Use and develop smart technical solutions for complex needs

Work together in a great team of IT professionals

Have knowledge and work in line with the processes and guidelines (of both the business and IT)

Set up acceptance tests for product releases and perform and guide owners in the processes

Ensure consistent quality of the system

Review code from colleagues in the QA process

A relevant Bachelor or Master degree

3 to 5 years of relevant IT experience

Excellent programming skills

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Customer oriented focus

Understanding of PHP (7.3) MySQL, RabbitMQ, GIT and modern frameworks like Symfony (4) and Angular (8)

Ability to systematic thinking in a fast growing business

Communicate and collaborate at a professional level

Participated in a cross-functional team
